What is Stack Tracker?+
Stack Tracker is a precious metals portfolio tracker. Instead of valuing one coin at a time, you enter your full holdings once — junk silver, Silver Eagles, gold coins, bars, platinum, palladium — and it shows your whole stack's melt value, updated from live spot prices.
How accurate is the metal content?+
Each item type maps to its actual precious-metal content (AGW/ASW) using standard conventions — for example 0.715 troy oz of silver per $1 face of 90% junk silver, and 0.9675 oz gold for a $20 Double Eagle. Custom items use exact weight, unit, and purity conversions.
Is this melt value or what a dealer will pay?+
It's melt/spot value — the market value of the pure metal content. Dealers pay a percentage of melt and bullion coins carry premiums, so treat melt as a baseline. Numismatic coins (Double Eagles, Morgans) often trade well above melt.
Where is my data stored?+
Your holdings are saved in your browser's local storage on this device only — no account required and nothing is uploaded. They persist between visits but clear if you clear your browser data. Accounts and cross-device sync are planned.
